What are Herbal Infusions?

Answer:
A herbal infusion is a quantity of dried herbs
with beneficial properties brewed in boiling water for a length of time in an airtight container, and then drunk or used in the bath to imbibe the nourishment.

These do not include teas, and are completely caffeine-free. Different parts of herbs can be used, including roots, leaves, flowers and berries.

30 ml of herb in a liter of water is the usual ratio; you can leave the herbs to soak for an average of 4-10 hours. Such infusions are best freshly made, and do not keep for more than a day in the fridge.
