Where can I find gluten-free recipes?

Answer:
For those who suffer from a gluten sensitivity or even
Celiac disease (the inability to process gluten), finding gluten-free recipes is much easier than in the past.  To begin, check out www.celiac.com for many resources on gluten-free living.

Most bookstores have a gluten-free cookbook section, as well, and you will have a choice of a number of different styles of cooking (including desserts and main dishes).  Also, many health food stores offer gluten-free items (such as bread, pancake, and muffin mixes, various dessert mixes – Namaste being one of the more popular – ready-made cookies and pastas, and even soups).  Usually these will be gathered in one area and clearly marked ‘gluten-free’.

In your regular grocery store, you can also find items marked as ‘gluten free.’  Some stores will put it on the price tag (which you find on the shelf below the item); but if it’s not there, look on the label.  All foods must now indicate which allergens they contain, including gluten.

Cooking and baking without gluten can be a challenge, but with so many gluten-free ingredients available these days, it’s much easier than it has been in the past.
