Answer:
A dutch oven is also known as a crock pot. Dutch ovens have thick walls, are usually made of cast-iron, are usually referred to as crock pots, and are usually used for slow-cooking stews and other foods. They usually are raised, have three legs, and was created in the 1800's. Dutch ovens are used for many purposes, one of which is camping. They work by placing the pot on top of the cooking coals and placing coals on the lid. That provides more uniform heat distribution and allows for faster and more thorough cooking.
